Sony has announced its new V, S and W series of BRAVIA TVs that include the new XMB (Xross Media Bar) navigation and the usual Sony sizzle when it comes to LCD TVs.
Sony undeniably produce some of the best LCD TVs on the market, and they are set to get even better with the introduction of the new V, S and W series. Across the range the new TVs will have BRAVIA Sync, BRAVIA Engine 2, S-Force Front Surround System and the aforementioned SMB.
So what does all this mean? Pay attention now. BRAVIA Engine 2 is a digital picture enhancement engine while the XMB is a fast and easy to use on-screen display that PS3 fans will already know well. S-Force Surround Sound is an improved digital signal processor that allows for a greater listening area while BRAVIA Sync will let you use other Sony products like Handycam without the need for multiple remote controls.
There, simple. Before you go running out the house to pick up a new set, sit down and listen to what is actually available. The W Series (KDL52W4000, KDL46W4000 and KDL40W4000) is Full-HD with a shimmering midnight blue finish, is available in 40, 46 and 52-inch models.
The new V series (KDL40V4000 and KDL32V4000) is available in 32 and 40-inch models and comes in blue, red and white.
The S series has four new additions (KDL37S4000, KDL32S4000, KDL26S4000 and KDL20S4000). Available in green, blue, black, orange and silver, they range in size from 20-inch all the way up to 37-inch.
(Note: Image is not the current line up. As soon as gadget zone has some we'll update the story.)
