Dell gets trippy

Dell has hired acclaimed artist Mike Ming of Brooklyn, New York, to spruce up a few of their laptop lids, namely the Studio 15 and 17. Suddenly Dell laptops have become sexy. There’s a few words we never thought we would write in the same sentence. Dell and sexy, we still can’t get used to it.
Available now, the Mike Ming designed Dell Studio 15 and 17 will stand out even in the thickest, most outlandish crowds. You’ll have people from Newtown turning their heads if you walked down King Street with one of these bad boys.
The Dell websites describes Mike Ming as a laid back, peace-loving, character that uses New York City as the inspiration for his designs. Skateboarding, waves, surfing and music are also high on his motivational list.
Ming has come up with five designs for both laptops; sunburst, red swirl, seaweed, sea sky and bunch o surfers. All the designs seem to be an appealing mix of Japanese art with a post modern feel and perhaps a bit of pop art.
They are all available now of on the Studio 15 and 17 laptops from Dell’s website. Prices start at $1,099.
