Nokia says no thanks to Mac (UPDATED)

So, you want to have a crack at getting some legal cash from people desperate for digital music? Surely you’d welcome everyone with open arms? Apparently not, if you’re Nokia…
Update: After speaking to Nokia at the launch of the music store, gadget zone has learned that it is set to make the music store more accesible to users of Macs and different Internet browsers in the next few months. The reason for the release on only a few platforms was in order to get the store up and running and let it take off slowly. Nokia doesn't often drop the ball so expect the updates very soon.
As we
previously reported
, Nokia has launched a music store, hoping to make some headway into the iTunes dominated legal download market.
What wasn’t previously reported was that the store will only work on Windows Vista or XP and even then only on Internet Explorer.
While this still constitutes a massive audience, gadget zone can’t help but wonder why you would deliberately extend the digital middle finger to users who – even if they aren’t on a Mac – may like the toasty feeling (and functionality) from Firefox.
We’re going to contact Nokia at the launch party this evening and see if we can’t get a nice statement on what the deal is – stay tuned!

With mega powers like www.amazon.com launching their online MP3 store and struggling so much to gain ground on iTunes, you would think those launching stores would be doing EVERYTHING they could to make sure they stood a tiny chance against the e-music might that is Apple's iTunes. Nokia make some good music phones, I hope this gets solved asap.
